I emailed Countdown last week with a message of support and a link to the blog inviting CD employees and their supporters to visit.
Last night I received this lovely reply from a member of the customer Care Team:

Every business gets its share of complaints and criticisms – and Countdown has been getting more than its fair share lately, in addition to the occasionally abusive comment.
Here I leave a selection of positive comments left on their facebook page recently.
I have seen a range of positive comments and compliments on social media and in news discussion forums regarding Dave Chambers by those who have met him within the Countdown chain.
Here is a selection of those comments.

Hardly the ‘ruthless bully’ he is being made out to be by those who are doing their best to dag him down into the mud and drown him in it.
